 I broke my thumbnail a little while back. Well, more like shattered it right smack in the center, really. The damaged part came off quickly enough, though, and I didn't loose the entire nail, which was nice. As of now, the nail's still growing out the damaged area, and it's kind of weird because it's at this stage where I've got normal nail on one side of my thumb, normal nail on the other side of my thumb, and no nail in the middle. It's like my thumb is an organic spork. This actually makes it quite useful in ways I hadn't counted on since I currently have two points with which to peel stickers and the like. Nevertheless, I'll be happy when it goes back to normal. The only problem seems to be the center in the back where the nail's growing in. It looks like that part of the nail had gotten smacked inward during the stupid incident and may now be growing inward instead of outward. I'll either have the doc check it or just cut the front off (it's not actually connected to the quick, so it won't hurt or bleed) and see what that does for me.

And now, off to change a diaper and smooch a munchkin. :)
