I've been a little off the last couple of weeks. I lost my voice just before going on vacation with some buddies of mine and the whole weekend I sounded like a bad cross between The Godfather and Screech from Saved By The Bell. I badly damaged my thumbnail while changing out the extension on a torque driver, giving me my 1st ever worker's comp claim. My brother gave me a camera lens (a nice one, too) to use while my original one is being repaired, but after sending mine off I discovered that the new one won't autofocus with my camera because my camera doesn't have it's own focusing motor. Blah blah blah blah blah.

So on to the good things. Joseph's walking like a champ now. Well, maybe more like a chimp, but he's doing really well. :) He had a blast tonight in the shower, crawling back and forth under the falling water and drinking as much of the shower as he could. My computer screen's starting to die again, so I'm very likely going to get to retire this machine under warranty very shortly. Yes, that's a good thing. I've got a friend of mine helping me (I hope) with the 'simple proof' of the Lorentz Contraction' so that I can get on with the relativity thing I've been ever-so-slowly mosying through. Pepsi has a version of itself with sugar instead of corn syrup. It tastes much better. I bought 3 pounds of bacon at Sam's and have been eating my way through it with reckless abandon. I'm going to the beach tomorrow for the rest of the week.

So, on the whole, life is good. I'm going to try not to complain as much as I have in the past. I've decided that it just doesn't make for pleasant conversation. When I get back from the beach I'm going to go back to the gym again and see if I can get ripped. Or at least work up to 50 pushups again. That would be nice.
