domestic ditty
i'm really lucky that i have wes doing most of the cooking, but he forced me to bake this acorn squash i had bought a while back. and since i'm so easily amused, i had to take a picture of the first slice. :p
i drizzled it with olive oil, dashed on paprika for show, baked it for 30-40 mins at 375F. i like really vividly colored veggies. :p
some of the gorgeous organic bounty i bought at the farmer's market on saturday. $2 for a huge medley of random greens! this market is now closed for the season, but the particular vendor is at the dupont circle market year 'round.
wes being chinese, utilizes all parts of the veggie. :p this is a stalk stir fry of the above greens.
and as a bonus, i had a leftover box of tuna helper from way back when. voila! this shot immediately reminded me of...
this re-ment set! i totally have re-ment on the brain. i ordered this particular one from ebay, and it's still wrapped up in its shipping box. :p
some know this about me, but i have an obsession with ppl and how they deal with money. i'm utterly fascinated with how some are spendthrifts, others thrifty, some downright anti-money and others all about making more of it. some love talking about it, some get defensive and angry as soon as the topic comes up. the more illogical the behavior, the more i'm drawn. society and upbringing, past trauma, how did this person become this way? then you have the really interesting cases like multi-millionaires who drink tap b/c they truly believe they can't afford perrier. :p sooo, i squealed in delight when i read this article about one week spending diaries of 6 strangers in nyc. woo! and like caffeineguy i'll post my own accounts for last week. i would do it for this week, but i've only made one purchase so far, so last week's it is. :p

as you can see, it's that time of the month where i'm STARVING and and shoving anything into my mouth, including skanky pizza. :p after what seems like several months of no buffets, i had buffet 3 times in rapid succession. :p~~~~ i lost a pound after the carnage. WOO to POO!
