Just. Wow.
My housemate, in our by-now-mutual quest to consume everything Doctor Who related, procured the BBC Casanova miniseries with David Tennant in it. (He also hacked the DVD player so it plays English DVDs, which is one of the many ways in which he has improved my life.)
It may be the best thing I have seen in years.
I mean.
I mean, there's the light parts, and the funny parts, and the fluffy parts, and the sexy parts, and the, the, the ripping your heart out parts. But in, um, a really, really good way. I am currently undergoing that post-good-story half-hour of angst in which you realize that you will never again have the experience of hearing that story for the first time again.
