He is also fairly laid back over all, as well as surprisingly well-versed on various rumors and urban legends, usually those relating to the atrocities of magic.
When it comes to proving a point, he is the type to go out and find proof of it so that he can shove it in his opponent’s face (He once took Hibiki to an abandoned mansion to show her a girl who had been turned into a monster at the age of six to prove how terrible magic users were).
Despite this, Ahito is, in general, a pretty good kid. He has an annoying habit of asking questions regarding one’s beliefs, particularly if they are contrary to his own, but he genuinely cares about those who earn his respect, and will often put his trust in them even though he may mistrust just about everything else.
Strengths: Marksmanship (he can hit his target despite being nearly blind in his right eye), researching things he is interested in, logical reasoning, sympathy, self-sacrificing (for the right people at the right time). Weaknesses: His magic, particularly the use of it, makes him physically weak and can cause him to collapse. He distrusts people, especially mages and magic, and stubbornly clings to his hatred of them. His eyesight isn’t too great (again, nearly blind in one eye) and he tends to assume things about people. Also, he sucks with names.
Interesting information: -He can heal people by looking at them. This comes at the cost of his own life, and in most cases will cause him to collapse and remain unconscious for days, possibly weeks. The magic triggers when he looks at someone sick or injured, so he tries to avoid them. -He likes sweet pastries, and if he can get ahold of them, will totally walk around with a bag of treats to snack on as he wanders around. -He sometimes refers to people, particularly those he’s familiar with, using nicknames. Said nicknames are partially for teasing purposes.

I’m not sure how useful it would be since it’s so small, but maybe there’s more to it. Whatever it is, it couldn’t hurt to take it with me while I figure out what this place is...
Log post: Ahito walked down the hallway, making as little sound as possible. He had his gun out and loaded, just in case he should run into something dangerous. The silence was eerie.
He had explored abandoned places before with less trouble. Deserted mansions with secrets hidden in their basements he would (and, in fact, had) go willingly if it proved enough interest. However, when he had scouted out the mansion before, he had done enough snooping around to get a good idea of what, exactly, he was getting himself into.
That was not the case here.
Waking up in a mysterious room with all of his things neatly stashed in a chest, finding that odd gadget that could be used to write words... it was all too suspicious. Not only that, but one would think - hope, even - that he would at least notice being moved from his bed to one in a completely different... building? He wasn’t too sure. There could only be one way they managed it, Ahito thought to himself grimly. Magic. Troublesome as always...

Pausing to adjust his shades, with slight exasperation, he continued on, trying to simultaneously pay attention to his surroundings and rack his brain for memories of what had happened before he found himself in this strange place. Hibiki and Shiko tried to help that demon. We all had some of her melon bread, and then we left. I went home... he recounted silently as he walked, I remember falling asleep, and then... He froze. “The dream!” He hissed “It must have been a spell. I can’t believe I fell for it.” Though the details were fuzzy, he remembered that it had been... unusual. How, he couldn’t quite say.
Abandoning his quest to discover his whereabouts for the moment, he leaned up against the wall and closed his eyes, deep in thought. There was something I signed... some kind of contract. He remembered that much, at least. It promised to give me something in return. Something impossible. He recalled seeing a note in his room earlier, but he had forgotten to read it in his panic as he tried to discover what was going on. A stupid mistake, he now realized, as it might have been there to explain the situation, or at least provide some kind of clue. They might be related. Actually, they probably are, he reasoned. Something was still bothering him, though. The part of the dream when he was told what he would receive in return...
He shook his head. “Impossible.” He said to himself with a sad sort of smirk. “That’s impossible. It was all just a trap... and I fell for it.” He let his gun arm rest on his shoulder, his movements decidedly more relaxed as he headed back to the room he had awoken in.
“There’s no way a wish like that could be granted...”
