Cleanser Challenge: waterproof makeup removal, part 3

Jun 01, 2014 14:35

I mentioned in part 1 that I wanted to test a regular microfibre cleaning cloth to see if it performed similarly to the Jane Iredale Magic Mitt. ( Read part 2.)

The cloth I had came in a pack that I'm sure came from one of the big grocery store chains or something like that. I don't quite remember. They were likely affordably priced or else they wouldn't be lying around for me to use. The cloth is a bit thicker than the Magic Mitt and is about the average size of most kitchen cloths used for wiping.

I had the Star Purple liner swatched on the back of my hand. It took about twenty seconds of methodical, intense swiping with the damp cloth to fully remove the liner. Well, some sparkle was left behind, but putting my hand under running water removed most of that. My hand went red, which went away a couple minutes after I finished.

So there you have it. The Magic Mitt is just an overpriced microfibre cloth in terms of performance.
