Quick update on Boscia BB Cream

I need to go to sleep. Who knew shopping for lipstick could be so difficult? I want to get a nice, neutral, slightly rosy lipstick for my grandma for Mother's Day but I can't spend too much or she'll throw a fit. She's got a really specific, fairly narrow range of colours she'll wear. I found some online swatches of a couple Milani lipsticks that fit the bill (and had generally positive reviews) but I have since discovered that Milani is kind of difficult to find in drugstores north of the border. I had to scour the interwebs for some good quality swatches (deep reds and glossy rose pinks are very popular but totally not what I'm looking for) and finally got a list of some Revlon lip products that I think she'll like, so I should be back on track with the gift buying. If I can't find any of these four lipsticks tomorrow, I might throw a fit.

I tried the Boscia BB Cream again today as I was meeting up with someone and wanted her opinion on the shimmer. I refrained from using it on my chin this time as it was feeling rather sensitive. I then used a bit of pressed powder foundation on top. I was told the shimmer was not noticeable except in direct sunlight, where it was a little noticeable. Okay, so I guess it's not as bad as I feared. Powdered blush applied normally over the BB Cream; it seemed that while it's sheer to light coverage, it's still able to even out redness. Translation: YAY BLUSH how I've missed you so!

Apart from the shimmer, the BB Cream gives a natural finish. Judging from the last time I wore it, it doesn't control oil but it doesn't make you look oily either. I found putting a primer in my T-zone (Porefessional by Too Faced) helped the Cream glide over my flaky yet pimply areas better. Lightly patting the powder on top gave me a touch more coverage as well and helped with oily shininess. After five hours, it looked pretty much the same as when I applied. I did not do anything physically taxing while I was wearing the BB Cream. I didn't have any irritation this time around.

So far, Boscia seems to be winning the foundation race but we have to remember that my skin has been feeling much better as of late. I might give the others another go.

Before I hit the hay, I just want to throw in a quick first impression on Caudalie's Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. Or Quenching Sorbet-Creme? The Sephora employee wrote the former on the sample she supplied me with but the only thing that I can see that's most similar on the website is the latter.

Well, it seems ok so far. It's got a fairly heavy, green perfume scent, but thankfully, that dissipates quite quickly. After initial application, I don't feel like this hydrates quite as much as MyChelle's Pumpkin Cream. We'll see, I guess. The texture of the Vinosource Sorbet drives me batty though. The texture looks like clouds? Like, all bunched up into little bumpy lumps? When you press down lightly, it gives rather than get onto your finger like every other regular cream/lotion. It has the same texture as that of Skyn Iceland's Pure Cloud Cream and Icelandic Relief Eye Cream. Those two products drove me crazy when I tried to scoop them out of their jars, and the eye cream was especially disappointing. At least Vinosource is in a tube.

I lied. I have another thing to throw in. I've noticed that after I use the First Aid Beauty mask (which has always been before a shower), my face feels so very soft. My skin slower starts getting rougher with each successive day after until I use the mask again. Hmm. It never gets very rough though, just a few of my troublesome spots slowly reverting back to their usual roughness. Hmmm.
