My mom was hosting a big family dinner and I volunteered to do dessert because I wanted to try out
this recipe. I love chocolate, I love peanut butter, and from what I was told, no one had any dietary restrictions. The only things I changed were using much less than one cup of icing sugar for the peanut butter frosting and using regular coarse sea salt because I couldn't find fleur de sel. I really don't think you need the full cup of icing sugar and I'm glad I used less because these brownies are very, very rich and dense. In fact, I found them to be a bit too rich for my tastes. It's still a solid recipe though, especially if you love super decadent desserts. If you use less icing sugar, be prepared for a softer frosting; don't worry, it still holds its shape at room temperature. Just chill it slightly before cutting.
If I make these again, it'll be for a peanut-loving crowd that loves super rich chocolate desserts. It's too much for me however, so I'm going to still look for other brownie recipes.
Eyeshadow look: Soft smoke mattes
All over eye (I had some redness I wanted to cover), brow bone, and inner corner: Kat Von D Be Mine (pale matte beige with slightly yellow undertone)
Most of lid except outer corner: Disney Ariel by Sephora Unfortunate Souls (matte, blue-based lighter purple)
Outside third of lid: DAbS Sha La La (cool-toned, satin red-based berry)
Outer V, crease, and lower lashline: Tarina Tarantino Saw Dust Heart (matte, burgundy-based dark chocolate brown)
Upper liner: Sephora + Pantone Universe Chestnut 19-1118 pencil (dark brown)
Waterline: Clio Beige Shine Gelpresso waterproof pencil gel (pale, shimmery rosy beige)
Would I wear this look again? Hmm, maybe, if I let the focus be on Sha La La and get a matte red-based dark purple for the crease. Or do a softer, office-friendly look with just Unfortunate Souls and a slightly lighter matte brown.
