e.l.f. Essential Shine Erasers vs. Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens

Shine erasers. Blotting linens. Rather pretentious sounding, eh? No, no, no, these aren't just simple oil blotting papers, they're blotting linens. They don't just blot, they erase shine.

The other day at Sephora, I decided to sample one of the Boscia Green Tea Blotting Paper-ahem-Linens and I swear, they felt identical to the e.l.f. Essential Shine Erasers, which I wrote briefly about earlier (bottom of the page). Heck, they even look almost the same, with the exception of the Boscia ones being larger. I forgot to measure them but if memory serves me right (and it often doesn't), I'd say the Boscia papers are 1.5 to 2 times larger than the e.l.f. ones.

Well, did they work the same? I've already mentioned that I liked the e.l.f. papers and found that they do the job. Since Boscia's pretty much felt exactly the same, I liked those too, though the larger size didn't seem to benefit me as I have yet to need the entirety of an e.l.f. blotting paper.

Boscia's Blotting Linens come in a convenient pack made of glossy, thick paper, just like the e.l.f papers. But because Boscia is selling 100 sheets for CAD 12.00, the sheets are even more conveniently housed in such a way that when you take one out, half of the next sheet comes out too, like tissue. I like that much better than the e.l.f. packaging. However, I can't justify spending $12 on what's basically a larger version of a cheaper yet identical product. I bought the e.l.f. papers at CAD 2.25 for 50 sheets or CAD 9.00 for 200 sheets. Yeah, I'm going to stick with the e.l.f. Shine Erasers.

review, e.l.f., boscia, cosmetics
