Sorry! I really should've told you. Because it's amazing. There is a conventiculum that happens every summer, late July, in Lexington, KY. It's run by Terence Tunberg (if the name's familiar, that's b/c it's the guy who translated Dr. Seuss books into Latin), and is basically a 9-10-day-long almost total-immersion program in which you improve your spoken Latin, learn new vocabulary, discuss ancient works of literature, have singalongs, and direct/act in small plays--all done in Latin! We at W&M have connections, too--Dr. Jones is a friend of Dr. Tunberg's.

So yeah. Highly recommended. There's also one that happens in Washington state in late June, but I didn't go to that one. I met the guy who runs it, though, because he was at the KY one, and he basically guaranteed me a spot whenever I *can* come.

It was great. There were people there from the US, from Canada, even from Australia. I'll see if I can't hunt down the info for these things for you. I think I'm happier with this little 10-day one than I would have been if I'd done Father Foster's program...but I'm still gonna try for it if I can.
