And Awaaaaaaaay we go!
So it's 2 am and I'm wiating for my roommates laundry to finish so I thought maybe I would update this thing. SO, I've moved to Florida. Its great here. I miss home. The only thing Florida-wise is that it is still 95 and sunny here, most people wouldnt think this is a problem however when you are used to seeing the leaves change and watching the world turn into a harvest celebration 95 and sunny is simply not that impressive.
I am LOVING my Masters Program. I finally found something that is the right fit for me, Thank God! I enjoy my assistantship and most importantly the people that I have met while I have been here. I've made some great friends and gotten to reconnect with some long lost pals so that is wonderful! As far as USF goes....eh....it's no IU. I will admit that I have been spoiled by my beautiful limestone architecture with blooming flowers and changing leaves. I miss the ability to just walk around a campus and find a shaded nook to sitin the grass and just people watch or listen to the bells of the carillon.
Things in my romantic life are as usual non-existant, I did finally break down and randomly hook up with some people so that I could figure out what sex was like. It was great but not SUPER or anything I think this is mostly because I had no emotional connection. SO basically all I got out of it was a fantastic opportunity to spend hundreds of dollars eery six months getting tested for STD's because I now qualify as a sexually active gay male.
So on the whole things are just so/so. The good news being that I am happy in my chosen career path, at lest for the moment. Hopefully soon I will be able to say some more positive things about other aspects of my life. Oh and for anyone who's keeping score I've gained 40 lbs since coming here. YAY stress eating. No worries though Im back on weight watchers hoping it will work yet again if I work it. WHo knows maybe this time I'll actually be able to commit to something...stupid sagitarian flightyness....anyway. Hope you all are doing well and yeah thats pretty much where Im at right now.
