Wedding: Another one out of the way....

I'm so happy the holidays are here. Unfortunately though, there is some work that I still need to do but for now, I only want to put my legs up, sit back and relax, something which I haven't had enough of. Its never enough anyway!

I wanted to take the weekend easy as I fell ill on Friday morning. I woke up at 5am feeling awful and needed to throw up. I did throw up and continued to do so. I was having the runs too. Ah, at that point, the toilet bowl was my best friend. I waited till the clinic was open and quickly walked to the doctors only to find out that the only doctor in the clinic has gone on leave. So, I told the nurse/clerk at the clinic that I really needed something to ease my stomach and for me to stop my merlion episodes. She gave me some pills, I paid for them and went home to consume them. I went back to sleep, having woken up so early and actually felt better after. I was feeling so weak the entire day cos I did not eat anything except for a piece of bread and drank some diluted 100plus. When I was awake, I was watching tv and lying down.

I felt a little better on Saturday though I had trouble standing for long. My stomach muscles were so painful and I was feeling terribly faint. I think the lack of sugar was the cause. I contemplated not going for R's family dinner cos I really didn't wish to throw up any more but I went along anyway. I ate a bit and was in good spirits.

We didn't plan to do anything on Sunday initially. After several SMSes to R, we wanted to watch Rapunzel in 3D. However, as I was telling R that we need to look for a bridal studio the day before, I went to the sgbrides website and saw that there was a bridal fair at Suntec (I have learnt that if its just a bridal fair that's not organized by sgbrides or style weddings and if you're looking for many bridal studios to be at the fair, you can forget about going). So with that, we decided we should go have a look see so that we have an idea which studio we can take, what are the packages, etc...

We met at Suntec, ate a late lunch and went to look at the so called bridal fair. Prior to that, we saw this booth at level one near the Duck tours booth which was promoting Taiwan pre-wedding overseas shoots. R was keen on an overseas shoot so we sat down, he spoke 95% of the time (only because I can't converse in Mandarin very well and he had to translate whatever the sales person was saying to me). We didn't take any of the packages even though it seemed reasonable because we haven't settled on our basic wedding package.

After which, we went up to that so called bridal fair. My jaw dropped when all I saw was two studios in a tiny room. Hmmph! I felt a little cheated. There wasn't anything that impressed us so we walked away.

Then, we crossed over to Marina square. Eventually, after spending hours poring over packages, options and negotiating, we finally have our bridal studio. :) I'm pretty excited about selecting the gown. Now, I'll have to do some homework.

R and I hope to achieve a few things by the end of next month. Writing it down here is best for me so that I can keep track of the stuff we need to do....
  • Select tentative gown
  • Book church/priest/discuss mass sequence
  • Meet and engage photographer
  • Decide on timelines i.e. photoshoot
  • Search for ideas on guest book, ang pow box, etc...

December is certainly looking like a very busy month. I doubt we'll be going out of the country next month.

health, me, r&v
