The Scorpion & The Frog - Vol 1

Jun 02, 2004 16:15

A scorpion and a frog approached a river.  The frog made to cross the river, when the scorpion spoke up.

"Carry me across, please, Mr. Frog."

"I can't do that.  If I carry you on my back, you will sting me, and I will die."

The scorpion replied, "I won't do that - if I do that, I will die as well."

Accepting this, the frog let the scorpion climb on its back, and began to cross the river.

Halfway across, the scorpion stung the frog.  The frog turned to face it.

"Why did you do that?  Now you'll die too."

The scorpion replied, "I can't help it. It's my nature."
