action; afternoon Aug. 9 because I am late and hideoussorabugSeptember 6 2011, 01:53:00 UTC
[and so, a new experiment lands a tiny guest in the BBS + Replica home-- he's currently seated in the middle of the living room waiting for Ven to come back home from a quick errand, bored at first, but then distracted by a stack of papers and a nearby pencil. ah! time to draw all over somebody's notes.]
not hideous. never hideous, bbvanityunbcomingSeptember 6 2011, 02:13:42 UTC
[Curiously, Vanitas isn't in his stomping grounds at the moment, but he's close by. Sora will have time to at least start on his masterpiece, before a door down the hallway opens and steam rushes out. The former dark apprentice has at least learned his way around well enough to shower by himself. His hair's still a damp and floofy mess when he comes creeping back into the living room again, as always using his hand on the wall to guide him back.]
you never know 8VsorabugSeptember 6 2011, 02:30:17 UTC
[... whoa, whoa, whoa, wait just a minute here. Sora is pretty sure he's met all of his relatives before-- and his Dad never mentioned having a black-haired brother. or is he Sora's brother? how can he tell?]
[drawing forgotten-- it's clutched in his tiny fists, actually-- Sora gets to his feet, watching Vanitas make his way in with wide, curious eyes.]
Hi! [is he even going to give Vanitas a chance to react? ... nope.] Who are you? We're related, right-- I mean, we've gotta be 'cause we've got the same hair and, and-- are you an uncle?
[Jackpot. As much as Vanitas dislikes children, there's something hilarious about this. Obviously tyke!Sora doesn't remember getting his wing ripped off, or he wouldn't be putting up such a friendly act.
...He could enjoy this.]
Right. And I'm sure I'm not, but for the sake of argument you can call me whatever you want, kid.
[that obviously doesn't apply to Sora-- nope, of course not! that's why Vanitas might feel the weight of tiny child climbing up on the couch next to his feet-- he might feel curious eyes boring into his skull.]

In response, Vanitas just pauses, expression turning slightly sour at Sora's words.]
I'm not anyone's family. Who let you in here?
Reply
... Are you sure we're not related? 'Cause I think we are-- what's your name?
Reply
Positive.
[Vanitas has a sneaking suspicion, though. If this kid thinks they're related, then...] Tell me yours, first. Then I'll tell you mine.

[...] No, I'm pretty sure you're at least my uncle or something.

Vanitas. [So deadpan, it hurts.]

What do you do for fun then, Uncle Vanitas?

[And with that, he finds his way over to the couch and sits down on it, stretching his legs out along it's length.]

Well, like what?

Secret stuff. I dunno if I can trust you enough to tell you, yet.
Reply
[Vanitas can't see Sora flapping his arms enthusiastically, but by golly is he ever.]
C'mon, tell me!
Reply
[He'll just casually lace his hands behind his head, and get more comfortable.]
Tell me why I should trust you, over anyone else.
