[The entry opens abruptly, in the very middle of a pained scream. It's trails off into a gasp, before another one starts up. By this time, anyone listening might be able to identify the voice's source.

It's Sora.

[It's... sort of painful to even listen to that. And when Vanitas speaks it takes a lot for Axel not to be sent into a flurry of anger. Maybe if it didn't already make him almost feel sick.

When Axel speaks his voice is eerily calm, but there's a tenseness to it as well. He just mostly wants to know if Sora is even alive right now.]

[Axel is difficult to read--one of the hardest people to actually get to, in Vanitas' opinion. But he can detect that tenseness, and knows he's got the upper hand, this time.

Time to poke the hornet's nest. Vanitas' response comes back in a mockingly flippant tone.]
