The Beginning is the End is the Beginning by Smashing Pumpkins. - This is the song I was listening to when I got the initial inspiration to play Vanitas. It's lyrics are also pulled for the title of his journal. |D
Goodnight by The Birthday Massacre. - This is the second song that fueled inspiration for my muse. The lyrics are kind of abstract, but I feel like they fit the mood of his character pretty well.
Hysteria by Muse. - Kind of self-explanatory.
As Heaven Is Wide by Garbage. - Also pretty self-explanatory.
Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold - There's nothing in particular that's Vanitas-related, but this song never fails to get me in the mood for RPing him.
Bipolar Bear by Morningwood. - This one's more silly and creepy. Starts off cutesy, but wait until the bridge. Also, watch out for cursing.
Monster by Lady Gaga. - IT WOULDN'T' BE A PLAYLIST WITHOUT SOME GAGA, AM I RIGHT? This is officially my Aqua/Vanitas song, but don't tell anyone.
Bulletproof by La Roux. - Another kind of silly song, and I have no idea why it gives me inspiration, but it seems to work. Maybe it has something to do with the tempo. :|a
Voice of Dissent by Flesh Field. - Epic and very powerful music. Definitely a song I listen to for fight or high-energy scenes. |D
Our Solemn Hour by Within Temptation. - More epic music! You can never have enough.
Video Kid by The Birthday Massacre. - Really, all of this band's songs are good, but this one reminds me a lot of Ven and Vanitas.
Creeper (Coming For You) by Jakalope. - A song I discovered about seven or eight months ago, and it's kind of creepy how well it fits. I like this song a lot, and listen to it even when I'm not RPing.
Paint it Black (cover) by Inkubus Sukkubus - Also an obvious choice. This is my favorite cover of the song (if you couldn't guess).
