It's nothing new...they all leave in the end. A pity I couldn't get a taste of his heart one...last...time.

...She is gone.

i want to kill them all, love comes and goes, ominous, you're all fucked now, mama elf, genesis, danger lurking, oh sweet sorrow, death in his eyes, don't fuck with my mother, oh this is just not cool, in mourning, vague post is vague

They may yet return.

Another will take his place eventually. Humans are replaceable, for the most part.

Only 'for the most part?'

There was only one...who was ever worth anything...and he is the only one who should never return here. The others...they're all a dime a dozen.

Only one. An anomaly then. And a shame that you were foolish enough to grow attached to him.

Foolish...but he was...more demon than shinobi. And it's rare to have someone give themselves to another so....completely

That taste, that trust...it's an utterly divine sensation...

Then he was not human.

I am aware of such trust. It is not so rare a thing. Perhaps your experiences have simply been… limited.

He was human...and yet he was not. Someone altered him...somehow. I do not recall the workings of his world well enough to understand.

Amongst the demons of my world...well...you don't place your trust that deeply in anyone. It could mean death...or slavery.

He was not completely human. Did other humans consider him human?

Then do you speak of such trust in terms of demon or human practice? I assumed you meant the latter, now it seems you meant the former. There can often be a world of difference between one kind and the next.

But we are not in your world, to my understanding.

Others did, yes. He was simply himself, I suppose. Just as Genesis was himself, and you are you...and I am me.

Humans trust too easily, most of them. Or...I should say as a comparison, their lives are so short they can't help but trust. Demons, by comparison are taught to be cunning, are taught to avoid that which might trap you...

I suppose it was merely a comparison of sorts. What of you and your world...? Is it different?

No...but this place is enough like the Makai to compare comfortably.
