A Victorian Diary 5

Above you can see how far I'd gotten on my Your Wardrobe Unlock'd corest before putting it on hold - I had a dummy that worked but just needed some tweaking.

So on Sunday I dug it all out from the far reaches of my wardrobe and adjusted the pattern pieces, elongating a little at bottom front, shortening a little over the hips, adjusting the top of the bust seam and making it a little higher on the side bust pieces. I also cut a little at the waist on the side seam for just a teensy bit more hourglass effect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had already ordered all the boning (spring steel for the back next to the lacing and spiral bones for the rest), eyelets with washers, and the busk, so I won't have to wait for the supplies. =)
I had already marked out the adjustments on my uncut master pattern (just not on the copies I use for cutting out fabric) so the bones should have the right measurements, but unfortunatly I can't find the note where I'd marked which bones go where, so I'll have to figure that one out.

On monday I cut out the outer coutil layer and the inner twill layer and labled everything and yesterday I sewed the front pieces and inserted the the busk. (left picture)
