Corset Joy!
I have to admit I dreaded trying on my corset dummy. It lay on my floor for a week before I got Jo to lace me up. This is the first corset I've drafted from scratch. That's right ladies and gents, I didn't use a pattern at all - I used the corset drafting class from Your Wardrobe Unlock'd, and drafted it all according to my own measurements. So it should fit like a glove, right? I just had a feeling that it was going to go fubar and have a gazillion re-do dummies. But, omg, it fit like a glove!

Here's the finished pattern draft, and the dummy in 3 angles. It's white cotton so I coloured it red in the piccies for clarity.

The only things I'm changing are the top and bottom lines and slightly taking it in at the top of the boobyseam.

Next up is measuring the steels I'm gonna need and order them along with the corset coutil, more eyelets, some trim and boning tape for the bustle at Vena Cava. While waiting for the supplies I'm going to make up the corset lining as a second dummy just to double check, and hopefully I'll also have time to finish decorating the chemise.
