Stategery

So my strategy didn't pan out this past week. Day 1 was still pretty awful. Although I didn't have the 4th graders because we had a steel band come for an assembly. The 3rd graders were absolutely horrible and I was left with the kindergarteners without an aide. I don't understand how that happens but it really pisses me off. There are only 2 of the 5 kindergarten classes that I can manage without help. I probably should have called the office but I just dealt with it. Ugh.

But I did have a proud teacher moment with my first graders. We were studying the days of the week and the kids sometimes get confused because their classroom calendars start with Sunday but my calendar starts with Monday. One of the boys pointed out that my calendar was wrong. I explained completely in Spanish why they were different but that both versions were correct. He stared at me for a moment and then said, "Oh, ok, I get it." What a smart cookie!
