2011 - Cincinnati; Back with my parents after 3 years in Japan. Working a corporate job while desperately trying to sort out my future. Reminding myself to enjoy this time with my family and friends. Not singing for the first time in years and filling the creative void with etegami and papercutting crafts.
2001 - Georgetown College; Studying History and Spanish. Decide to add French as a third language. Active in my sorority Phi Mu, singing in the Chorale and double quartet Manna, and writing for the school newspaper. Working at K-Mart and hating it. The Roommate and I live together on the same hall with six other friends. We have an "open closet" policy and I often show up to lunch in my friend Stacey's tops.
1991 - Dayton; It's the second year at my new elementary school. My third grade teacher tells us we are the Class of 2000 and we're lucky to live in a post Cold War world. She reads us Where the Fern Grows and cries at the end. I meet my best friend Melissa who I still keep in touch with to this day even though we live on opposite sides of the country.
