So, I was essentially laid off from
KMPS on Monday. They are doing a ton of changes to young things up, and decided to lay off all but three jocks. I disagree with who they chose to keep, but such is life. This is a job I had for four years and will miss greatly. Right now I'm planning to enjoy my newly free Saturdays; lots more time for camping, drinking, and Walla Walla. Maybe, come September, I'll start shopping my demo around.
At the other job, I am still training away. Training over the phone is a slow, stressful process. He's trained enough to make my work days stupidly easy, but I'd rather just be done with the whole thing. Last time we talked he called me "kiddo," said I must judge people after talking to them for two minutes (true), and then asked me to be patient with him. I am quickly learning that it is possible to teach 60 year-old dogs new tricks, it's just a total pain in my ass.
Trav and I looked at bike over the weekend. I haven't been on a bike since 2002, but it was fun. I need to get a bike of my own, build up my confidence, and ride the shit outta this city.
This commercial made me cry yesterday. Fuck you, Mother's Day.
I want a cookie.
