Last weekend I escaped to Los Angeles in an attempt to survive the one year of my mom's death. It was a very successful trip. Here is a photo of Megan and me outside the soundstage where The Office is filmed:
I know you are very jealous. There absolutely are more LA snaps, but I need Meg's Flickr and time to go through my camera. Other fun activities included fireworks, a Twilight Zone marathon, homemade cake and lasagna, and the beach.
While at the beach, however, I went with my usual no-sunscreen routine and in return received a second-degree burn down both my calves. So Awesome! For the first few days I hobbled around like an old man, and I only got my standing still privileges back yesterday; Aleve and Bactine are my new best friends. I really should have been on top of the photos and blogging of this thing -- I've risen on new legs each morning. Travis will probably never let me out of the house without my SPF70 again.
