Hurroh.
1. In the new place now. Moved from apartment #36 to #6 - its ground floor, and off the street, but now I have somewhere to put a bbq. Fantastic. You cant cook steak on a frying pan. So I'm currently in the market for a "grillmaster 9000" or "the extreme team beef eater" or some shit. Once this happens I'll need to break it in in style.
2. Went to the Norma Jean/ Unearth/ Atreyu all-ages show yesterday arvo. All-ages gigs are good for a giggle. 16 year old kids kicking and punching the shit out of each other is pretty amusing, they get pretty hot-headed about the whole thing and will chase each other round the pit for the payback kick, punch, or whatever. All in all - Unearth were the best band. All the sunny coast sunshine plaza church of atreyu (the ex AFI) kids were there as expected and went spastic for Atreyu, who had more of a bubblegum-yay-fun-times rediculous vibe than that of a hardcore band.
That said, I'm going to the 18+ show tonight, which is gonna be much better - purely for the fact I can have a beer. Yesterday when they told me it was an alcohol free-event- a cold beer was all I wanted there on. I dont have to work tomorrow - so if you read this and then come to tonights show- buy me a beer. But not an empire.
3. On the subject of alcohol free-events, I was meant to have an alcohol-free weekend. Then enter Mitchell Morse the fucker... I lasted 10 minutes- and ended up at the Sun Bar of all places. What the hell. Then Sat night beers w/James, then at my sisters sunday night barbecue- out came the vodka's and lime. I have absolutely no will power. Its official.
4. I'm still at Collecky House - things were looking like more $$$, but it hasn't turned up yet. So once again, if anyone hears of anything going down workwise, let me know.
5. I hate the middle months of the year. You cant get away with t-shirts anymore, no one has any parties, no one comes if you throw a party, beers take a few minutes longer to be fantastic, and there's all these expectations that money will be saved. I cant do it. I end up after each winter with no more money than I started with. One thing I tried out was the PS2 to stop me from wandering around Brisbane drinking. Instead I kept drinking, but it happens at home now. I cant win. Need more dollaree-doo's. Or better games.
