Dear Bally heels for sale in a DC consignment shop:
You are strappy, kickass, and for a 3.5 inch heel, super comfortable. You are also my size - 10.5 - which makes you a rarity among footwear. Perhaps because of this, you are also on sale for 70%, which averages out to about $20, when you normally market for ~$500. And oh yeah: you are MINE now! Ha!
A: "You are so much of a girl sometimes it hurts."
Me: "Yeah, pretty much. Want to talk eyeliner?"
Also, if you are in the DC area any time during March, go see
Clybourne Park at Woolly Mammoth Theatre. I went during the Pay-What-You-Can night - $2.50 theatre tickets! Three hour line! Chinese food afterwards with far-traveling friend at one in the morning! I love living in a metropolitan area - and it was bloody amazing. It's hilarious, and uncomfortable, and thought-provoking, and all the more important now, in this allegedly "post-racial" era. (Which, sadly: HA. Dream on.)
