I actually kinda liked the movie, but that's beside the point and to each their own. Although I totally agree with your assessment of Hugh Laurie's kinda random appearance in the movie. And Chris Evans is so under-rated, I don't understand it. He's hot as hell, but the boy can act.
This story was delightfully weird and had all-of-a-sudden unexpected moments of beautiful demented violent poetry. The stuff about the bang bang sunsets, etc was incredible.
I love the fact that you don't actually explain away Disco's ghost as a trip through insanity. I mean, Tom offers that as a possibility, but I don't really believe that he believes that, which makes me believe that Disco's more than just a figment.
I love that the het pairing is given its own amount of respect .
I love the whole Tom is in love with death and the threat of death and anything pulse-pounding and also in love with Disco the Ghost.
Spot-on voices for all the characters.
This fic was so much exhilirating fun and I loved the hell out of it. Thanks for posting to rareslash so I could find it.
