1. SpikeTV is having a Star Wars marathon this week and oh, George Lucas. Futuristic tupperware, Luke's hair, bad Middle-Eastern stereotypes, the attack!Teddies... SUCH CHEESE, but I can't believe how much I've missed it. And it's so strange, seeing them in order-the knowing that Obi-Wan was once young and strong, who is behind the black suit, " ( Read more... )

So I'm usually not a huge fan of femslash but my curiosity got the better of me and I'm so so glad it did....this is amazing. The undercurrents of Claire and Maya are definitely there but I really enjoyed how Claire-centric the whole thing was. I love the dynamic you've set up here with all of them, and being a Paire fan I also enjoyed all of your observations about Peter, especially "Peter loves indiscriminately. It's the cruelest part about him." This whole thing was really lovely, great job.

Thanks! Yeah, this started out as a "most random pairing I could think of" thing, but when I brought Claire in, it was only natural that Peter mope his way too. (The way I see it, along with Noah, Pete's probably one of the most influencial men in her life.)

Ok, this? IS AMAZING. I totally just pimped it out on my LJ because everyone needs to read this. Every single character in here is just PERFECT. I can't even get over how amazing your characterization is. <3 <3 <3

“It’s for you,” Peter adds, like a puppy depositing a dropped fledgling on its master’s shoes and expecting praise.

OMG XD I love it. I also love how Molly wants to be in the play, which I think is absolutely typical for her. And the part with the squirrels was hilarious.

and Mohinder, pausing for a breather in the bizarre, deformed waltz he and Sylar are caught in.

Ok obviously I'm a Mo/Sy shipper but even aside from that, this is pretty much the perfect description of their interactions. See, this is what I mean, you even managed to fill out secondary characters and just get them completely spot-on.

I'll admit, I almost didn't read this simply because Maya/Claire isn't a pairing I thought I would enjoy, but I'm glad I did. INCREDIBLE. I cannot love on this enough.

*blush*

I feel so loved. Thank you! I'm glad you thought the bit with the squirrels was funny; I was worried I'd be writing the joke for myself, and no one else would get it. (My humor - not so funny to other people.)

Oh, my. Oh my *goodness*. I don't know if I can properly express how fully I enjoyed this. I want to quote lines back at you, but there would be way too many. I adore the characterization and the beautiful, beautiful imagery that's strung all through this. Claire's layers here are lovely, and the I love the part about Claire and Maya's parallels, especially.

Seriously, just. Your writing style = for the win, and the way you handled this pairing = even further for the win.

This? Is amazing. All the little asides you have about the House of M, Maya and Claire's quite comforting of each other after all the horror of last season, how subtextual and subtle their relationship is, and Peter. Oh, the way you have the efect Peter's heroics have ona ll those around him who've learned to love him but can't get that sort of intimacy they crave from him...it's a thing of beauty, right down to the description of this as cruel.

That sort of seems to be his legacy, doesn't it?

(I'm glad you liked this so much; to be honest, I hadn't expected it to be such a hit.)
