“Do you know what date is today?”
Hyunseung nodded nonchalantly while busily flipping through his newspaper and answered, “February something right?”
Junhyung looked to him expectantly with those not so cute puppy eyes, “February 14th to be exact.”
Hyunseung just made an “Oh” sound and didn’t take his attention away from his reading while his boyfriend started to sulk. Junhyung snatched the damn papers from Hyunseung’s grasp and snapped, “Don’t you have something to give me?”
Hyunseung rolled his eyes while attempting to get his paper back, but failed miserably as his unreasonable boyfriend hid them away from him. “Stop being such a child. And give me back my newspaper which I haven’t finished reading.”
Junhyung twitched his eyebrow on the cold response, it’s Valentine’s Day. Hyunseung SHOULD prepare something for him. But he didn’t mind if Hyunseung didn’t prepare anything. The elder could give him something he really wants since they’ve started dating.
“I forgive you for not preparing anything.”
Hyunseung raised an eyebrow, seeing his boyfriend is clearly having hidden intentions, “Really? What is it for you?”
Junhyung would not let his eyes met Hyunseung’s gaze and awkwardly scratched his head, “You can give me a kiss.”
Hyunseung stared for a while and blinked a few times before shaking his head, “No way. I promised it on our first year anniversary.”
Junhyung groaned in agony, “We’ve been dating for ten months and the farthest thing that I could do with you is just holding hands! I have needs, you know.” His last comment managed to earn him a painful punch on the shoulder by flustered Hyunseung.
“Pervert,” Hyunseung cursed under his breath.
“Oh please. We’re not even talking about sex.”
Hyunseung’s face got redder and redder on the comment and childishly stomped himself away from Junhyung. But the younger managed to grab the other’s wrist and said, “Hey, don’t get mad. A chocolate would be fine, Seung.”
Hyunseung said nothing in response and pulled his arms away from the other and locked himself into the bathroom. Junhyung was getting frustrated to even try to get his sulking boyfriend out of the toilet, and decided to leave the apartment for a while to let the other cool off, but not inside a god damn bathroom. He’s pretty sure Hyunseung would run out of oxygen at some point.
“I’m going out for a while. Please sulk on the living room, anywhere but in there,” Junhyung said through the plastic door.
Hyunseung went out after he heard a resounding click of their opened entrance door and poked his head out to check if the place was clear. Apparently Junhyung had been honest about going out from their apartment.
He knew today was Valentine’s Day. It was too much pressure seeing his boyfriend’s expectation from him. He thought hard to get Junhyung something, but he didn’t find one and decided to just ignore this special day. But why was he feeling guilty? Junhyung should get him something too if he wants presents. But he knew he must give Junhyung something. He contemplated for a while until deciding to just do it. Do first, think later.
Hyunseung prayed to God if this was the right thing to do. He waited expectantly behind the couch for Junhyung to come back. It’s been 3 hours and he heard a faint footsteps coming near. Then he heard a click from their door’s key been unlocked. Junhyung poked his head inside to see Hyunseung doing the same on the couch.
Junhyung gave out a cheeky grin, “Hey.”
“Hey,” Hyunseung greeted back with a hint of nervous in his voice. “Come in. I’m not mad anymore.”
Junhyung shook his head, still only poking his head inside the apartment, “You have to come here to invite me inside.”
Hyunseung shook his head furiously, “I have something to give you here. You come here.”
He was very nervous hiding his lips that he wiped with chocolate earlier behind the couch. How did he manage to think about this stupid idea anyways? It could work if Junhyung would just walk inside, it would be so embarrassing if he was blown out of his cover before the time. But the younger just didn’t help him in the situation. After two minutes of arguing, he decided to give in. He was always be the one to give in anyways. He slowly stood up from the couch and walked backwards from the couch to the door.
Junhyung quirked up a brow on the action, his Seungie was acting very weird. But his frown was soon replaced with a foolish smile as he saw his boyfriend’s lips. The other seemed very embarrassed though, Junhyung came in with one hand on his back and put his slender arm around the elder’s waist, and captured his lips in a sweet, delicious, chocolate kiss.
“That was the best Valentine present I’ve ever received in my life,” Junhyung chuckled in Hyunseung’s ear. “And I brought you something too.”
Hyunseung looked up to Junhyung before questioning, “What is it? It better be good.” His threat didn’t seem like one though because of the pout he was wearing in his smudged lips.
“Ta-da!” Junhyung pulled out the mysterious item from his back.
It was a 1Lt Baskin Robbins Ice cream, World Class Chocolate, Hyunseung’s favorite flavor. He grinned on the present and hugged it like a child hugs a teddy bear. Junhyung ruffled the elder’s brunette hair before asking something.
“Do you know what would be really awesome?”
Hyunseung sung gleefully, obviously happy with his present, “What?”
“If you wiped the ice cream around your lips too,” Junhyung said while sporting a pervy smile.
Hyunseung’s grin dropped as soon he heard the other’s naughty comment and attempted to kill his own boyfriend. But then he remembered today was Valentine’s Day. He should not kill someone on Valentine’s Day, especially a person he loves so much more than himself.
