Ted wasn't certain he believed this "Fate" about not being in the afterlife. Contamination of the timeline? There was a villain every other week messing with time, he didn't see how one event could interfere with the universe so much.

These things had a way of working themselves out, he would make sure of it. For now though he was going to relax, even for a little bit. He had either just died or barely escaped death and either way he needed a break. He would save the world later.

He had a heart condition after all.

It took him a moment to realize he had stopped in front of a door and stared confused for a moment. He wasn't sure how he knew this was his room, but it just felt right. Weirder things had happened.

He shrugged and opened the door, stopping when he saw another man in the room.

"Oh, hello. Is this room taken?"

Leonardo had just picked his hat back up when the door opened. He placed it on his head (just so) and looked over to see.....

What in the nine hells was that?!

He gawped, his eyes roaming up and down the blue creature several times. "Scandaloso," he murmured, a blush rising to his cheeks. Never had he seen such a revealing costume on a man, even at Carnivale. It left very little to the imagination, and Leonardo had imagination to spare.

Ted raised a questioning eyebrow at the shocked looking man in front of him. That wasn't exactly the reaction he was expecting. Maybe the man had never seen a superhero before?

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you. I'm the Blue Beetle. Nice to meet you. Do you not have superheroes in your city?"

He swept a look over his companion and frowned in contemplation. The man was dressed very strangely, maybe he was a villain and was reacting to running into a hero?

"Say you're not a supervillain are you? Because I don't really feel up to having to bring you in right now."

"Super...?" Leonardo still looked stunned. He was clutching his cloak in his hands, feeling like he was unable to move. Blue Beetle? Superheroes? None of it made any sense, even less sense than the bizarre home he now found himself in. He still couldn't figure out what ninety-percent of the objects here did.

"Mi dispiace," he finally managed. Slowly, cautiously, he turned to face this overly-muscled blue man. No, he couldn't do it, he couldn't look any longer. Trying to preserve a little of his decency, he looked away though his blush remained.

"I-- no I don't believe so, signore. My name is Leonardo da Vinci, it seems we are supposed to share these rooms." Then he remembered how he had rearranged all the furniture. He wasn't sure if he'd ever felt more awkward in his life.
