I saw Dr. Rhoton
I saw Dr. Rhoton. about 40 minutes ago. at Deaconess Cross Pointe. in the Outpatient building. I was there to see Dr. Sedillo (for my intake appointment), and I saw Dr. Rhoton in the hall!!! he pulled me aside and talked to me for a minute. he told me that he's still trying to get my discharge summary from Medical Records (from my past hospitalizations--they're being hard to deal with, he said), and that hopefully he'll get it and he will fax them all over today. I was pretty shocked to hear that they hadn't been sent over already, but that was undone by the fact that he said he would fax them--as opposed to mail them (I had been told that it was against their policy to mail them). besides, I was so excited to be talking to Dr. Rhoton!
I saw him again before I left. he was standing at the nurses' station talking to them. I stood there and watched him; I didn't want to say anything. I was too nervous to say anything. he finally noticed me and spoke to me; he told me to get myself taken care of, or something like that. I really can't remember, I was so nervous. then he went behind the nurses' station, and I spoke to him once more, again about my papers being sent to Hopkins.
when I finally left, he was getting into his car (he drives a black Jeep Liberty--I knew it!!), and I walked past and got into mine, a few spaces down. by the time I pulled out and was about to drive past him, he was pulling out; he saw me and stopped, and waved me past him, and smiled at me.
Dr. Rhoton is the greatest man alive.
