So, I'm watching the first few episodes of Doctor Who. I love the new series, w/ Eccleston and Tennant, and I'm not very familiar with the old series.
I have to say, it's really hard to suspend disbelief with the production values. The walls of the TARDIS, on close inspection, are clearly a backdrop. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with it?
One thing I find interesting is the credits and theme music. Though they aren't high tech, and there have been some changes, I still thought they were good. Just a much simpler version of what they use today.
And dude, the Doctor? Was a grumpy old bastard back in the day. Obviously, he's chilled out in the ensuing years.
