Late as it was, Zero was still in bed - X's bed, to be precise, curled up and with his arms around his sleeping friend. He'd woken a little while ago, but as there was no immediate need for him elsewhere, he had no intention of getting out of bed until X woke up, or until disaster demanded his presence elsewhere. For no, he was content to just lay there in a state of semi-consciousness.

When the call came in, though, he was instantly alert. He immediately responded - silently - through his internal communicator.

[This is Zero. What is it?]

X frowned as Zero spoke. If he was an X, despite having not acted much like an X, then that meant that Axl was still loose.

X scowled and hissed softly. [This means that Axl is still on the loose. He is still a danger to those around him.]
