Yeah. I think a lot of boys used to be named Kelly, but they're using that name for girls now. THat's why I wouldn't name my son that these days. I've met quite a few men with "girls" names in my time. Gale. Page. Lindsey Graham is a Senator. Torii Hunter is a baseball player. Someone named Brooke was a Catcher for the Baltimore Orioles when I went to a game. As for Madison, I guess I've thought of it as a girls name since I guess its been used as a girls name since I could remember. I think its a good name b/c when I think of Madison, I think of James Madison, one of the Founding Fathers.

When I said confusing, (I wrote that comment kinda late), I think I meant it as another way to say, something that can't get confused for a girls name (or theother way around). I wouldn't want my son to call places, say his name, and have the person on the other line as, "are you male or female?" Or I wouldn't want a name that is too long or hard to spell. Although some names like Shawn have three different variations. YOu could spell it Shawn, Shaun, or Sean. I generally like to spell things the way they sound. Of course, you could call Jacob, Jakob. Or Dylan, Dillon. I personally like the Dylan spelling better, even though it more sounds like Dillon. Cristina without the "H" doesn't bother me at all, although I imagine it would confuse some people and she may not be able to buy "Cristina" key chains and pencils that they sell at the store sometimes. As for Kymberrleigh. I hope my daughter isn't dyxlesic or a bad speller or else she'll have problems spelling her own name.

I have a cousin named Kerry, who got some teasing growing up, but for the most part, I've never associated how he spells it as strictly a girls name, whereas Carrie or Kerri I think I would more associate as feminine.

I see Kerry as more unisex a spelling, as well. I went to HS with a guy named Jo. It wasn't short for anything; his parents I guess just thought "Joe" was a nice name and didn't spell it properly (they may not have been from this country). I know he got some shit for it because we took the bus together and someone told him he had a girls' name.
