Like the good, the bad and the ugly, but prettier and better.
The annoying first. RSI(ish). Strained a few tendons in my right arm (guess what handed I am...) and now have to rest it for at least another week or more, so it will stop being annoying, and more importantly not get chronic. Whilst I can work (with care), I certainly can't yet get to grips with the modeling and painting needed to get my current 40K army finished for the Grand Tournament Heat in mid-November. Good that I have the old army in reserve then. It may be harder to use in a tournament setting but that's not a problem, it's a challenge. And no console gaming either really.
So onto the good. Starting with a good birthday haul of books, CDs and DVDs (thank you again gift givers) which is good as I need to do something whilst I rest my arm. Like read books, watch DVDs and listen to CDs.
And the other good. I have a new work computer:
The new 24" Intel iMac. We needed to get a new computer at short notice for a project coordinator, but couldn't get a Mac Mini in at short notice, so I suggested they get my old iMac and we get in a new iMac for me since they can now run Windows side by side with MacOS (using Parallels), so the PC on my desk can be turned into a development machine (and let me check out the pre-release Vista builds). And despite being larger, it is not as deep as the older one, giving me even more desk space to rest my arms on.
Not that I have my arm injury foremost in my mind, it's just I use it for stuff. A lot.
Now I shall have to go and listen to some more Goth music my work colleague leant me. On my huge gleaming new Mac.
