Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I had a wonderful time in Washington! I would have posted earlier but work tends to take a lot out of me.
Even though I loved being with my friends and seeing the sights, my trip only cemented my belief that cities are just not for me. It was too huge and far too crowded. Perhaps it was just D.C. in particular that I had problems with, but I've been to NYC too and I didn't like it much. Perhaps it's because I need to connect with people so desperately that I'm wary of impersonal places, such as big cities and colleges. Mabe it's because I'm such a nature child and there's hardly enough forests and streams in big cities. Even when I was in D.C. with all these grand monuments all I seemed to take pictures of were the few rose gardens I found and my lovely friends.
My sister lives in NYC and has barely met anyone. She had to join match.com in order to meet people she shares interests with. Nope, cities just aren't for me.
However, I had a great week. Thank you all for the kind wishes before I went!
Did you all hear about the Harry Potter theme park they're building here in the USA? I can't wait to go! I hear they opened a Dickens theme park in England. That sounds like fun too, but I would love to go to Hogwarts more than the streets of 19th century London.
Anyway, I hope you all have a great week full of fun and all that is so wonderful about life!
