...trying to at least. Too much coffee this afternoon, methinks.
First I met
gladcow,
nightsnows et al at the Church of the Java this "morning" and had my usual double shot mocha and some chatting.
Then I ventured down to Albany for some quality time with Harriet. We wound up at Ross and I found a much needed new pair of work pants along with an amazing dress. It just jumped out at me, like it was meant to be. I noticed it as we were heading toward the shoes. It was hanging on a rack it didn't belong on, I stopped to take a look and it happened to be my size so I couldn't resist trying it on. And it fit perfectly... which NEVER happens with dresses!! They either fit in the hips and are too big in the chest, or fit the chest but are too tight around the hips. Or are too long in the waist. Now I just need a place to wear it. I'd say Big Night, but I'm honestly not sure if I'm going this year. Haven't ruled it out completely, but I don't think I'll necessarily be in the mood given the date.
Then it was dinner at Riley's and then coffee before the membership meeting. This time a triple. Why!?!? Mmmmmm.... coffee. Cuuuuurse coffee. I need to sleep dammit.
Tomorrow morning I head to Portland to take Andrew to see Dr. S. Then I think I need to take him shopping, whether he likes it or not. He mentioned to me about a month ago that he wanted to get some new jeans, but has turned me down every time I've tried to take him since. I'm sure he needs some new shirts too, and maybe new shorts. I won't have a lot of time I can spend tomorrow, so hopefully this will go well.
Then it will be back to work with me. Ugh.
I found another job posting I can apply for and I've been exchanging email pleasantries with the head hunter. She swears she remembers me from nearly two years ago (either impressive or bull, haven't decided yet) and while she doesn't have anything for me at the moment, she promises to keep a look out.
New dance classes start tomorrow too. Yay!
