I'm sorry to hear what you've been through. The most important thing is that now you and your family feel better! Take care of yourselves and don't get close to older people in your family.
I'm so worried for my mother. She visited me earlier and I stood too close... Thank you for the warning and the reminder!

Thank you for your kinds words, onlyone. I was heartbroken when my family all mutually decided not to get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas, as we're a pretty close-knit family that doesn't see enough of each other as it is. But we all felt it was the right decision for us. Hopefully the vaccine situation will allow us to get together sometime earlier in 2021 than we originally thought. :-)

My mother took the first vaccine yesterday :) (people at risk are taking it before the rest)

Oh, that's great to hear! It's the first step toward getting back to some type of normalcy. Hopefully, it won't be too long for everyone else.
