Yesterday, Charmaine and Neil had gotten married in a tiny municipal wedding ceremony that had somehow been better for everyone than Charmaine's previous attempt at a marriage. "Oh, you know, final exams," which would've mostly been a formality even if they hadn't had that whole 'pretend to be normal' craziness going on, "and a bit of a scare with the school board threatening to shut us down." Okay, it had mostly been Colbert rather than the entire board, but. Like Bobby knew that.

"Well, the uniforms were- horrendous, but it wasn't exactly a new experience for me," Bobby made a face. "People come to Xavier's looking for reasons to shut it down all the time."

Bobby shrugged. "With Xavier's? Because it presents this front of being a totally normal if somewhat exclusive boarding school. And if word got out that it was a boarding school for, well. You-know-who's," someone was still slightly paranoid about using the m-word around people he didn't know too well, yes. "People would lose their shit. From what I understand, Fandom was kind of the same deal. Everyone thought the people funding it would freak out if they found out it's not so normal after all."

Plus she just wanted to. She knew other people in the graduating class, too.
