As per usual these days, Luke was doing nothing of importance so the phone barely rung before he was picking up. "Hello?"

"Ugh." That said everything, didn't it? She glanced at the lounge. Yup, Monty was still being a brat. "I'm at the airport in St. Louis and my friend Evan is here with his kid. Or, his hyperactive spawn."

"I'm actually more concerned with losing his father's friendship," Kate replied and, Jesus, she sounded like she was almost considering it. "'Cause he's one of the better frequent passengers we have."
