We're also getting tons of golf coverage, because Orlando is practically Golf Central, but I don't mind that nearly so much, maybe because my dad played golf. Or maybe because they're not pre-empting my regularly scheduled programming for coverage of the Masters for weeks on end.

This shit didn't bother me nearly as much when I had cable, but now that I'm down to two stations, I'm screwed.

Meh, I'm okay with pro football, don't really care about anything less, but I can understand your antipathy about the constant "news" (I get to hear about the Orlando Magic and their dismal season every night, and I presume you have teams that are equally obnoxious in your local broadcast area.)

Basketball is the only sport I truly loathe, tho'--in fact, the summer after my dad passed, I used to turn the TV to TBS for baseball, the way he used to, and the sound of it in the background made it feel as if he was still there, although I wasn't paying the slighted attention to the game itself.
