Mid-weekend

Mb collected me at oh-dark-thirty last Monday morning. We went to the food bank (and were out by 8:45, so you KNOW we got there early!). From there, we went back to her place, where I stayed until Saturday afternoon.

I'm greeter at church in a few hours, so I won't be up very much longer, but I wanted to catch you all up a little.

For instance, when I checked my mailbox, there was a package from dine, with an excellent vintage tablecloth. Incentive to unfuck the dining table, I hope.... Thanks, hon!

I spent some of BigRed's GC from WalMart...got a new hairbrush and some hair tint. The dark blonde tint is absurdly subtle, but it covers my grey and is less washed-out looking than my natural color, so it was worth the $3.

Sons of Anarchy, you are breaking my heart. I had a sick feeling about who was going to be the sacrificial victim, and when that deputy made the comment about "one of the other two", I *knew*. And it made me sick, both heart-sick and queasy, how they did it. I really wish they'd stop killing off the characters I love most! Mb and I agree that Pope needs killing. I'm wondering what might happen if Tig's other daughter flipped in retaliation for what happened to her sister. She was certainly angry enough, although I rather suspect Pope would then hurt her for betraying her father and punish her to hurt her and Tig in one shot.

The season premiere of Criminal Minds was one of those "They're pulling this shit out of their butts, right?" episodes with regard to the unsub. I loathe the newly introduced character. Midway through, I said, "If she starts signing ASL to the unsub, I'm gonna lose my shit." Wait for it...she did. I don't care about the tantalizing hints of backstory (at least, I presume they're intended to be tantalizing---*I'm* certainly not tantalized!), I think she's a Mary Sue, and if she's the one they hook Reid up with, they just may lose me.

On the other hand, there was so much squee for the Person of Interest season two opener, I was dizzy. Reese is a dog person?! Who knew? And I adore the dog; please Mr Nolan, can we keep him?! Finch teaching the Machine was charming and enlightening. Lionel Fusco in a ball gag was priceless; the fic is already starting to appear online. And Carter, your timing is outstanding! My only quibble about the whole thing was Root, or, as some of the fen have dubbed her, "Crazytownbananapants". I really wish Rachel Miner had stayed on---she was Root in the ep "Root Cause", but didn't return in later eps---I think she would've been more sinister and less overtly disturbed.

Blue Bloods was average, although Michael Madsen as a villain is always a treat. Tom Selleck is still, as Big Red put it last weekend, "Still humpable after all these years.". Umm, yeah.

I still haven't got the new microwave squared away. It's on my to-do list. Haven't talked to J since the great canasta-meatloaf debacle. Need to find the sticker for my tag and stick it on, lest I get in trouble.

Okay, I need to get my ass to bed....
