One of my biggest problems is wanting things to be "just right" before I start a project, and wanting it to come out looking like a professional had done it.
I know intellectually that it's a warped interpretation of the saying "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well." My brain somehow twisted that into, "If I can't do it 'right', why bother doing it all?" I have to keep reminding myself that sometimes "good enough" will do.
Uh-huh. My picky, neurotic Virgo tendencies tend to gang up on me. I look around at all the chaos and whimper. I have this vision of what it should look like, and it's so far from reality it hurts.

*hugs* I know exactly what you mean. It makes you feel like you're beaten before you even get started. But we can't give up. We can do this! Carpe diem, and dump-em! :D

Wow, that was good for a 12-Step flashback!
You're right, of course. Sometimes my middle-class suburban upbringing really shows!
