Another fine mess

I was headed over to J's this evening for the usual media night frolics when I suffered a flat tire. Of course I was in the far left lane, and the nearest turnoff -with-a-shoulder was a ways down on the right. I was lucky in that the person in the minivan behind me was NOT a maniac, so I was able to get pver eventually ( Read more... )

Right? It's always some damned thing! Our tags are due and I nearly threw up when I saw the total for me, hubby and son- over $200 freakin dollars! I have to start selling plasma, I guess!

Tags?! Crap. Me, too. That's another thing I have to somehow come up with cash for. Too bad they don't take food stamps.

I've been hustling on Ebay for the last 2 weeks- just selling stuff around the house. Have made over $200 thus far. That will sure help us with tags!

It's like working a second job! I found a few vintage linen cross stitch samplers today as the Baptist Church on Clearlake was having a rummage sale- for once, I had a $5 bill in my purse. Got the 3 samplers , some vintage plates and a Hardy Boys book for $3.25. Promptly listed the cross stitch samplers and am about to list the plates. I wish I could do this full-time!! I love it but it's tough with the other 40 hour gig.

Not really- I did some selling for my sister-in-law when she moved out of her big house but we split everything 50/50. It can get sticky when selling for someone else unless it's set up properly. It takes a LOT of time- pull the stuff out, photograph it, list it and then when it sells, ship it. Not to mention that there are listing fees and selling fees.
I know you could do it on your own--just have to establish a routine.
