It's a little bit funny

This year's gifts have been rather thematic, although most of the givers don't know each other and certainly didn't coordinate a strategy.

It's been a very good year for domestic stuff, such as the slippers and mock-mink throw from Mb and Company. In addition, I can take the C's Publix GC, get a steak and ccok it in the non-stick saute pan from pwcorgigirl, ( Read more... )

Dekoshered hot dogs sound like The Best Thing Ever. *drools*

Hooray for looking good and being happy and having a wonderful Christmas. (((HUGS)))

We had a very nice Christmas -- the snow hit in such a way that we got home before it became unsafe to drive -- and now I'm glad to spend a quiet day at home before jumping back into the fray at work.

Definitely in the Top Five. They will also make you VERY popular with any four-legged dog who happens to be in the vicinity---all three at the C's were rapt with attention while they were being consumed.

I'm really glad that I didn't have a repeat of last year, when I spent all day Xmsa Eve having weeping jags and bowing out of dinner at CapeGypsy's.

I'm glad your trip was safe and uneventful. And, on the bright side, ADVENT IS OVER.

Thank God Almighty, Advent is OVER! Next week will be spent finishing up the finances for the year. The Padre always waits until the last day of the year to drop a pile of reimbursement requests on my desk, which last year had me saying loudly, and incredulously, "You spent $52 on PENS. What's wrong with using the ones I already bought?" He also buys very expensive pens and then throws them away when they run dry, instead of buying new cartridges. It makes me want to holler!

Do you also have to send statements to parishners for tax purposes? Our treasurer was muttering about that this morning.

I'll have a long, horrible week early in January and do that. We also have to do W-2s for the employees, which is a real kick in the head. Jeannie, my other boss, and I stock up on Tylenol, Tums and Coca-Cola for that week.

Sounds like a real thrill. My goodness, it's hard to believe that this time next week, it'll be a whole new year!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Well, parts of it dragged, like the two weeks I was on crutches, but the rest of it has flown by.

I was in such a fog after Kat passed that much of the year is a blur. I have a hard time pointing to any accomplishments, and I'm dreading February (anniversary).
