Do-Over [PG] Ben Braeden and a special guest star

I know, the other night I said I had no desire to write fic for 6.1, but...I slept on it. Twice. And had a "What if?" that *I* think makes sense. Not a spoiler unless I'm psychic, which I kinda doubt.

Cool. MILES ahead of what the "professionals" came up with!

Well, since the idjits professionals haven't actually EXPLAINED anything, they could still pull something off, but until then, I had to clean up that mess somehow. Although I still think the best explaination I've seen was someone's comment that Dean is still in his coma from IMToD, and he'll wake up and John will be alive and none of the last few years will have happened.

Thanks for commenting!

I wasn't going to read this, but then I just couldn't resist. I'm glad I did. It was lovely.

Thanks! I just had a need to come up with some kind of explaination for the unsatisfactoriness that was Friday's ep.

Thanks so much! The revisit made sense in light of what did---and didn't---happen in 6.1.

Well, that was an interesting twist!

I like how you wrote Ben, felt authentic.

To me, writing Ben was easy enough---in TKAAR, he was pretty much a junior Dean, so that's where I start, but keeping in mind that he grew up in suburbia with a single mom and no brother.

Glad you liked it!

Oooooh, nice. Wouldn't have occured to me to have Jesse sneak back in again. :D

Jesse's ep makes more sense if there's some kind of follow-up to it. (Hey, here's this kid who has so much power the angels are scared of him...but he's going to vanish and never be heard from again! Uh, no.) If The Powers That Be have been holding him in reserve for a hat trick like this, it kinda makes sense. What the heck, they introduced the Croatoan virus in season 2 and didn't use it til season 5, so there's still hope for some kind of coherent resolution....

Thanks for stopping by!
