In the beginning, the world was without form, and void, and God said, "Let there be shoes!"
So She created them, pumps and sandals, flats and stilettos and wedges, with pointy toes and peep toes and strappy straps and buckles and embellishment.
And God looked lovingly upon these things, and saw that they were good.
In the vastness of the void, the shoes drifted, and God said, "Let there be a closet to contain the shoes, because I can't find my sweet little pink marabou kitten-heeled mules, and that is not good."
And so the shoes were contained, and God rested and arranged Her shoes, and all was well for the spike heels on Her red pumps made Her legs look truly Divine. And it was good.
In the time before time, God modeled Her shoes, and at last said, "I need somewhere to wear all these fabulous shoes."
She opened Her closet door, and there was Light....
