Comings and goings
Placing my faith in ang5fam's assertion that the water department takes several days to deposit checks, I swung by there after visiting the library and floated a check for $100, which will take care of my bill and then some. That won't work for FPL (power), so I'm going to hold my breath and hope that they won't cut me off at the stroke of Thursday

Do they charge extra for pay by phone? I think that might be a better way for me to go. (I write a check to the b/f and he pays with his credit/debit card. I had such a hard time with the bank and my routing number that they almost cancelled my pay with check/credit card. (And put me on a cash only basis with them, which I have to say.. sucks!) I had to finally get my bank and FPL on the line at the same time and have the bank tell them my routing number and the actual account number. (I had no idea I actually had to put the 6 zeros in front of the actual account number.) So we decided that I would write b/f check, he would deposit check and when it clears, he pays the bill. MUUUUUUCH easier than trying to figure out all that crap with them!

There's a pay station on Clearlake next to the Sleven where you can pay cash if you're so inclined. THEY charge a fee, I think it's $1.25, which is helpful for folks who don't have bank accounts.
Okay, so Sunday, you wanna pick me up? 2PM? Wanna go to the big Wally in Viera, maybe grab lunch?
