Saturday as I was wandering around my bedroom, I was grumbling about my curtains. Tab top blue and white country gingham---gah! I acquired them by way of H.W.S.N.B.N. five or six years ago, they didn't really go with anything, and I was quite sick of them.
I say "was" because I popped into Goodwill Saturday afternoon on the way to work and found a pair of curtains ($3.99!) that's fun. They're a tropical print---I'd call it bark-cloth inspired---with pink and white hibiscus and orchids on a background of blue and green palm fronds. I hung them this evening while watching a program about Disney live-action movies. They're so much cheerier than that godawful gingham!
Mind you, it would be nicer still if I could manage to get my room painted---I've only been trying to get that done for the last 15 years---I'm planning a soft aqua---but still, it's an improvement!
At least I can point to one accomplishment this week.
