A few thoughts about last night's SPN (4.2)

Sep 26, 2008 12:45

Wow, last night totally rocked. I had a sneaking suspicion that Olivia was going to be toast, if only because they have a tendencity to gank someone before the opening credits. Bummer.

"Smite first and ask questions later." *snerk* Love it.

Bobby is made of awesome. (I may have mentioned this before.) And if I had my suspicions about Kripke and company reading fanfic it disappeared when they hit Bobby's cellar.

To quote from It Happened One Night:

Bobby’s cellar is the hunter’s equivalent of a fallout shelter, but instead of sandbags, he’s got bags of rock-salt lining the walls. There are wards painted everywhere, and it’s well-stocked for disasters of every sort. Short of peeling the house from on top of them, nothing is going to get them here

Okay, so I didn't envision an iron room, and the pentagram/ceiling fan was way cool, but I did get the lined with salt idea out there first, and the wards sound suspiciously similar to last week's "art project".

We also got a good look at the outside of Singer Salvage, AND given how many sets they've got for Bobby's house, I'm encouraged that we're going to see a lot more of it.

Speaking of which, the kitchen scene with Dean and Castiel was incendiary. My ovaries exploded several times. Dean was uncomfortable with Castiel invading his personal space, didja notice? (I'm almost certain that this is going to induce some kind of slash, which may or may not include feathers.)

I must say, this season is off to a dandy start! Season cliffhanger, the Apocalypse?!
