Day and night
During my occasional periods of wakefulness this morning, I kept thinking it was Saturday. No such luck! But GK arrives this evening, hooray, and I have three consecutive days off!
Yesterday, we had White Trash Queen come in...they're very happy with us, and we got some news that may not sound like much to you all, but which is major for us: soon, they are going to be able to accept online returns at there retail stores. To this point, they haven't been doing that, and it's been a major point of contention with their customers. (I actually squeed in class when they announced that, CSR geek that I am.)
In other happy news, a month after putatively withholding my Le Snobbi gift from the last training, Uber-Boss presented me with it, saying I had done an outstanding job of bringing up my adherance numbers. (It's a nice little coin purse/key chain thingie.) You know why my numbers were bad? Because god forbid, I actually used my sick days as sick days! Hmph. I still think she's a cow, but I smiled and made nice, because I'm a professional.
Tomorrow evening looks like canasta at Schnauzerland. S and T are going to a resort next weekend with a friend, and have hooked me to stay at their place Friday and Saturday nights. Which basically means going directly there from work on Friday, because I'm shuffling my schedule around AGAIN...they have me down for some damn 2-hour in-house training for next Wednesday, and since I would prefer not to make that round-trip for so little on my day off, I'm working on trading my Wednesday off for someone's Saturday, so I could just hang out there all weekend (they're returning Sunday), walking on the beach, soaking in the jacuzzi...the poor relation's vacation.
